TERTIARY SECTOR
Once the secondary sector makes a product it can be
sold in the tertiary sector. The tertiary sector jobs are where products made
in the secondary sector are sold to us or offering us a service.
The main activities in this sector are:
Welfare – is in charge of looking after our health.
Education – teachers
work in school to teach students knowledge and values.
Transport - taxis, buses, trucks, trains, boats, planes
transport people, animals, and things from one place to another.
Communication - mobiles phones or internet make it possible to
communicate over a long distance.
Trade - in stores we can buy everything we need.
There are two types of trade:
Domestic trade – when the trade takes place within the same country.
International trade - when trade is done with other countries.
If a country buys products from other countries it is
called import.
If a country sells its products to other countries it
is called export.
There are many jobs in this sector such as tourism,
banks, restaurants, entertainment like cinema, theatre, football, amusement
parks.
